OpenAI introduced GPT-6.1 Sol on September 29 for coding, computer use and professional tasks. The company says it approaches Astra on several evaluations. Standard API pricing is $2 per million input tokens, $0.10 for cached input and $10 for output.
At launch, it was available in ChatGPT Work and Codex for Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Edu users, and through the API. Chat availability was excluded; an Ultrafast option was planned for later. Official announcement.
