Atlassian and OpenAI announced an expanded partnership on October 6. Under the agreement, OpenAI models will power agents across Atlassian and Rovo, using Teamwork Graph to connect organizational context such as projects, documents and decisions.
Atlassian plugins also let ChatGPT and Codex access relevant project information and technical documentation, subject to permissions. The companies are exploring deeper Jira integrations for assigning work to AI agents and reviewing results. Those prospective capabilities should not be read as a completed rollout.
