Ollama released 0.40.1 on October 7 with a Windows fix for Clef head weights stored beyond the 2 GiB boundary. The linked patch uses explicit 64-bit file seeking to avoid incorrect reads associated with an older Windows C++ runtime.

Other changes avoid Windows manifest symlinks, remove the account step from command-line onboarding, and add server proxies for cloud usage and balance APIs. These are targeted maintenance changes. Read the release notes and Windows fix.
