Black Forest Labs released FLUX 3 Image Klein on October 15, a 5.6B-parameter model for generation, editing and multi-reference tasks. It supports native 4K output and bounding boxes for placing objects or limiting edits.
Base and distilled checkpoints are available, together with lower-precision builds. The company says an INT8 configuration runs on supported NVIDIA GPUs with 8 GB of VRAM; that does not mean every resolution and workflow fits the same hardware budget.
Weights use the FLUX Kommunity License, rather than an unrestricted permissive license. The announcement permits free commercial use below its $5 million annual-revenue threshold, with separate options for larger organizations.
