GaussiAnimate: controlling captured 4D characters with skelebones

The method combines a kinematic skeleton with free-form bones to preserve non-rigid motion; it works from reconstructed sequences, not text alone.

GaussiAnimate studies how to rig reconstructed 4D Gaussian or mesh sequences while retaining details such as clothing and soft-body deformation. Its skelebones representation combines a controllable inner skeleton with free-form surface bones.

Partwise Motion Matching retrieves and blends observed motion to drive new poses. The project page shows humans, quadrupeds, birds and garments, and identifies the work as a SIGGRAPH Asia 2026 conference-track paper.

This is a research overview of the demonstrated pipeline. It requires suitable reconstructed motion data and should not be summarized as a text-only animation generator. The older paper date and the current code link are separate facts; no unsupported October launch date is assigned.
